Transportation Coordinator


The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the delivery to company stores, customers, dealers and/or production facilities. Logistics and transportation coordinators also arrange for the storage of deliverable goods. Coordinators work in a fast-paced environment, which includes daily scheduling and handling multiple routes, drivers, and deliveries.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
o Schedule and Dispatch All Big Tex Drivers Inbound and Outbound Shipments to, Company Stores, Dealers & Suppliers
o Coordinate backhauls for company trucks.
o Assist with calling and arranging Inbound and Outbound Shipments to Company Stores, Dealers, Suppliers & Tex Trail Stores
o Maintain and Update Dispatch Sheet along w/Big Tex Drivers Daily & Weekly Schedule
o Receive and Verify Transportation Invoices for License Plates, Toll Tags, Truck Permits, Highway and State Taxes, Fuel and Credit Card Purchases, Outside Carrier Billing
o Prepare and Send Transportation Invoices for Intercompany Invoices, Back Hauls, Manufacturing Pick-Ups and Deliveries, Supplier Pick-Ups and Deliveries, Warranty Returns
o Make Sure License Plates, Toll Tags, Permits and Inspections are Current.
o Coordinate with Maintenance on any Mechanical Issues and Dispatch accordingly.
o Set-Up and Maintain Driver Qualification Files, Drug and Alcohol Files, Accident Register, Pre-Employment Drug Tests, Random Drug Tests, Annual Reviews
o Complete Driver Trips and Configure Route & Mileage for Driver Payroll
Experience:
Minimum four years transportation experience and must be familiar with DOT requirements including HOS and DQ filesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
